This is a wonderful antique box.  It is Eastern European in origin.  It is brass with bezel set glass stones on the top.  The stones are all in jewel tones.    It is shaped like a treasure chest.  This box has the original black velvet lining.  This is the best one of this type of box I have seen.  It measures 2 3/4 x 4 inches and is 3 inches tall.  It is much prettier than the photo.  Ca. 1900.  $365.
