This is a gorgeous diamond engagement ring.  The setting is platinum.  The diamond is an old European-cut, with an approx. weight of 1.55 carats.  The diamond has a color range of I-J and the clarity is SI.  The prong-set diamond is very bright.  The platinum head measures 10 mm in diameter. The shank is 3.5 mm and tapers to 2 mm.  This wonderful antique ring is a size 6 1/2 and can be sized if needed.  Ca. 1930.  $7,950.
