This antique is a beautiful work of art.  It is sterling silver with black and white enamel work on the front.  It is heavily engraved as well.  It is edged with a silver twisted rope.  The hoop has enamel work.  When you flip the locket over, there is glass to hold your photo on the back side.  This locket is English in origin, dating to about 1870.  It measures 1 1/4 x 1 1/2 inch without the hoop.  It is in perfect and original condition, it is a treasure!
